Child Safety Standards
Last updated: April 12, 2026
Our Commitment
Gereh Technologies Inc. has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Gereh is a dating application intended exclusively for adults. We are committed to providing a safe environment for our users and to preventing, detecting, and reporting any content, behavior, or activity that endangers children.
This document describes the standards, policies, and practices Gereh follows to prevent CSAE on our platform, in compliance with applicable laws and Google Play's Child Safety Standards Policy.
Age Restriction: 18+ Only
Gereh is strictly for users aged 18 and older. Minors are not permitted to use the app under any circumstances.
We enforce this through multiple layers:
- Date of birth verification: All users must provide their date of birth during onboarding. Any user who indicates they are under 18 is immediately blocked from creating an account and cannot access the app.
- Platform-level restrictions: Gereh is rated 18+ on the Google Play Store and App Store, which enables platform-level age filters and parental controls to prevent minors from discovering or installing the app.
- Profile review: Our moderation team reviews profiles flagged for suspected underage users and removes any account where there is reason to believe the user is under 18.
- Ongoing enforcement: If at any time we receive a report, detect activity, or discover information suggesting a user is under 18, their account is immediately suspended pending investigation and removed if confirmed.
Prohibited Content and Behavior
The following is strictly prohibited on Gereh and will result in immediate account termination, content removal, and reporting to law enforcement and relevant authorities:
- Any form of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), including photos, videos, audio, text, or links to such content
- Sexualized content involving minors, including AI-generated, cartoon, or animated depictions
- Grooming, luring, or any attempt to build relationships with minors for sexual purposes
- Sharing of personal information or content of minors without consent
- Discussion, solicitation, or promotion of child sexual exploitation
- Attempts to circumvent our age verification or to impersonate a minor
- Trafficking, sexual services, or sexually explicit content involving or implicating minors
Detection and Moderation
Gereh uses a combination of automated systems and human moderators to detect and remove prohibited content:
- Automated detection: Messages and media are analyzed using content moderation systems including scam and abuse detection.
- User reporting: Every profile and message in Gereh includes clearly visible reporting tools. Users can report concerns including suspected underage users, CSAE, inappropriate content, harassment, and safety issues.
- Human review: Reports are reviewed by our safety team, which can suspend accounts, remove content, and escalate to law enforcement.
- Proactive investigation: Our moderation team proactively investigates accounts matching risk signals and removes violators.
- Account termination: Users who violate this policy are permanently banned, with their associated data preserved as required for law enforcement cooperation.
Reporting to Authorities
Gereh complies with all applicable child safety laws in the jurisdictions where we operate. When we detect or receive credible reports of child sexual abuse material or exploitation, we take the following actions:
- Preserve evidence: We preserve reported content, account data, and associated metadata as required by law.
- Report to authorities: We report confirmed or suspected CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline in the United States, to the Canadian Centre for Child Protection (Cybertip.ca) in Canada, and to equivalent national reporting authorities in other jurisdictions as required.
- Cooperate with law enforcement: We cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations and respond to valid legal process in a timely manner.
- Remove content: We remove prohibited content from our platform immediately upon detection or verification.
- Ban offenders: We permanently ban users who violate this policy and take steps to prevent re-registration.
User Reporting Tools
Every user has access to built-in reporting tools inside the Gereh app:
- Report a profile: Open any profile, tap the menu, and choose Report. Select the appropriate reason, including "Under 18" or "Inappropriate content."
- Report a message: Long-press any message in a chat to open options, including Report. Messages are reviewed by our moderation team.
- Block a user: From any profile or chat, tap Block. Blocked users can no longer contact or see the blocker.
- Email reports: For urgent safety concerns or reports outside the app, contact support@gereh.ca. We respond to child safety reports as a top priority.
Training and Governance
Our team is trained on child safety policies and reporting obligations. Safety processes are reviewed regularly to ensure effectiveness, and we update our standards as best practices and laws evolve.
