Our Mission

Gereh is a dating app designed to help people build meaningful connections through education and play. These guidelines exist to keep our community respectful, safe, and welcoming for everyone.

Be Respectful

• Treat everyone with kindness and respect, even if you're not interested
• Respect boundaries — if someone isn't interested, accept it gracefully
• Don't pressure anyone into sharing personal information, meeting up, or continuing a conversation
• Remember that every person on this app is a real human with feelings

Be Authentic

• Use your own recent photos that clearly show your face
• Don't impersonate someone else or use someone else's photos
• Be honest in your profile — your age, name, and intentions
• Don't create multiple accounts

Photos

Your photos must:

• Show you clearly (at least one face photo)
• Be your own photos

Your photos must NOT contain:

• Nudity or sexually explicit content
• Minors (children)
• Violent or graphic imagery
• Guns or weapons
• Drugs or drug paraphernalia
• Spam, ads, or promotional material
• Contact information (phone numbers, social media handles, etc.)

Messaging

• Be respectful and considerate in your messages
• Don't send unsolicited sexual or explicit messages
• Don't harass or repeatedly message someone who hasn't responded
• Don't use messages to sell products, services, or solicit money
• Don't send threatening, abusive, or hateful messages

Zero Tolerance

The following will result in immediate and permanent account termination:

• Harassment or threats: Any form of threats, intimidation, or targeted harassment
• Hate speech: Content or behavior that attacks individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
• Minors: Any user under 18, any sexual content involving minors, or any attempt to contact minors
• Violence: Threats of violence, promotion of self-harm, or glorification of violent acts
• Exploitation: Scamming, catfishing, sextortion, or any form of financial exploitation
• Non-consensual content: Sharing intimate images without consent (including "revenge" content)
• Illegal activity: Using the App to facilitate any illegal activity

Consent Matters

Gereh is built on the principle that healthy connections start with consent and communication. This applies both on and off the app:

• Respect when someone says no
• Don't assume consent — ask and communicate
• Consent can be withdrawn at any time
• Complete our consent and communication lessons to build these skills

Reporting

If you encounter behavior that violates these guidelines:

1. Use the Report button on the user's profile or in the chat
2. Select the reason that best describes the violation
3. Our team will review the report and take appropriate action

Reports are confidential. The reported user will not know who reported them.

Enforcement

Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, we may:

• Issue a warning
• Temporarily suspend your account
• Permanently ban your account

We review all reports and aim to take action promptly. Decisions are made at our discretion based on the evidence available.

Safety Tips

• Protect your personal information. Don't share your home address, workplace, financial information, or other sensitive details with someone you just met.
• Meet in public. If you decide to meet someone in person, choose a public place and tell a friend or family member your plans.
• Trust your instincts. If something feels off, it probably is. Don't hesitate to block and report.
• Don't send money. Never send money or financial information to someone you've met on the App.
• Report suspicious behavior. Help keep the community safe by reporting anything that concerns you.
